In 2006, a Group of Maine Bicyclists rode from Falmouth, Maine to Denver, Colorado to raise money for the Harold Alfond Cancer Center in Maine and the Lance Armstrong Foundation.

We have all been touched by cancer at some time in our lives. Either ourselves, family members or friends have fought and either won or lost the battle against cancer of some kind. We are riding this bicycle trip to raise money for the Lance Armstrong Foundation to fight cancer. We would sincerely appreciate your support.

What does it mean to try to raise money for cancer research?

It means...
everybody we know and come in contact with needs to pitch in.

It means...
we need corporate sponsors, private contributions and in-kind support to make this exciting goal a reality.

It means...
well over 10% of the entire annual Lance Armstrong Foundation fundraising efforts.

It means...
finding new treatments and cures for cancer.

It means...
doing the right thing... one mile at a time.

Last year, with only one rider and three weeks lead time, we raised over
$21,000 on a 1000+ mile trek from Maine to Indianapolis.
