Modern Drummer magazine raved about the new Stage Customs. The Stage Custom Standard features 8-ply shells of Philippine mahogany with an outer birch ply, constructed with Yamaha's Air Seal process. Toms groan with tone. Bass drums are 17" deep and thunderous. YESS tom nodal mounts are standard on rack toms, as is Yamaha's high-end ball clamp triple tom holder. A generous hardware package includes two cymbal stands (straight and boom), hi-hat stand, snare stand, and foot pedal. The metal snare drum is crisp and responsive. It's a young drummer's dream kit and a pro's "around town" gigging kit, finished in attractive matte stains.

The 928 drum and percussion voices, covering a wide range of musical styles, are set up into 61 preset drum kits. You can also edit kits to create your own original drum kits. With such a wide range of possibilities at your fingertips, it is easy to achieve the sound and set-up you want.
